Bea Freund

Hello, I’m Bea. I started learning Pilates initially to aid my running, little did I know what a fateful decision that would turn into! I have since obtained a YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates and become a Spinecare Certified Instructor with Cherry Baker Education. It has become an integral part of my life, bringing a heightened awareness to my body, adding flexibility, strength as well as a more mindful state. I believe in preventative rather than curative medicine and that Pilates is one slice of the orange; others including nutrition, sleep and good mental health. I believe that the class setting works perfectly for Pilates, building up that connection with others and having a teacher led experience. Outside of Pilates, I have three spirited children and enjoy gardening, exercise, singing and hill walking.

I aim to teach a more modern, functional style of Pilates, helping to improve the ability to perform everyday movements with a focus on core strength, flexibility, better posture, less pain and relaxation. My class is suitable for all levels as I offer modifications and progressions throughout each course of exercises. I use equipment in the class including yoga blocks, resistance bands and small balls.
