Julia Enright

“Hello My name is Julia

I moved from London 17 years ago. My Pilates journey started in 2007. My background is Injury rehabilitation and Sports therapy.

The founder of Pilates, Joseph Pilates, was a prisoner of war in Lancaster Castle where he practised himself and trained fellow prisoners. This makes teaching Pilates to the Lancaster community even more special.

All of my classes incorporate the principles of Pilates including concentration, control, centering, precision, flow and Breath.

You can expect a relaxed friendly atmosphere where all abilities are welcome. Flowing movements and sequences are modified and adapted to suit each and every one of your physical needs so you get what you need from each class.”

Pilates is a low impact exercise technique of controlled movements that focus on both the mind & body.

The exercises aim to strengthen muscles, mobilise joints, lengthen through the spine and realign your posture.

During my classes I aim to enhance core strength improving stability and balance, improve mental focus and reduce stress through controlled mindful exercises and support injury prevention by enhancing full body strength.

We start with a series of functional standing warm up exercises, move to the mat for a series of controlled precise movements and finish with relaxation of both the body & mind.

I endeavour for you to leave my classes with restored physical vitality an elevated spirit and an invigorated mind!

“Pilates is about patience, practice & progression”
