At SOMA, we offer a range of workshops and courses designed to deepen your practice, support your wellbeing and nourish connection with yourself and others. From seasonal gatherings to in-depth trainings, our calendar below shares what’s coming up in the studio and beyond.
Monthly: The Softening- a Sunday Somatic Reset with Annie Hackwell

A Monthly Sunday Somatic Ritual
This is a 90-minute immersive journey designed to help you soften, unwind, and come back into your body — just in time for the week ahead.
Blending somatic practices including movement, chakra meditation, breathwork, and subtle body awareness, this session invites you to gently release held tension from the physical body and nervous system while restoring a sense of inner alignment and calm.
Using embodied, wave-like movements and guided breath, we work through the body from root to crown — not to “activate” or force change, but to listen, integrate, and reorganise from within. Immersive headphones for part of the session create a cocooned, inward-focused experience, allowing you to drop beneath the noise of everyday life and into deeper sensation and presence.
This is a slow, nourishing practice rooted in trauma-informed somatic work. Everything is invitational. You are always in choice. Rest is welcome.
You’ll leave feeling grounded, spacious, and quietly resourced — more in your body, more in yourself, and more prepared for whatever the coming week holds.

Strong and Steady: The next steps course with Helen Olivia
Monday 2nd March- 23rd March/ 7.15pm-8.30pm/ £50
Working with a tailored set sequence we will build on that weekly by focusing on anatomic areas like hips, spine, shoulders, and core. We will begin with specific drills and supportive breathwork for each anatomical focus, to promote more body awareness and muscle memory. This enables the student to really build on their current beginner foundations to build more strength, flexibility and confidence in breath-led flow. Helen will guide you:
• Functional Drills: Using the wall and straps to build strength in tricky areas like shoulders and hips.
• Repetition: Building a core sequence week-by-week so you can move with confidence rather than thinking about what comes next.
• Fluidity: Learning to coordinate your breath with movement so you feel "ready" for any flow class.
By the final week, you’ll be moving through a full practice with the mantra.
Empowered Goddess Workshop with Jenna Louise
Sunday 8th March/ 1.00-3.00pm/ £25
What better way to celebrate National Women's Day than with a goddess themed yoga workshop?!
This unique workshop will weave yoga with mythology, stories and energies of various goddesses to inspire empowerment, creativity, strength and softness.
This session will include a fabulous combination of guided mediation, breathwork, goddess themed asanas, mudras and storytelling to encourage connection to your inner divine feminine.
This workshop is for women only.
All proceeds will be donated to Lancashire Women.
Lancashire Women is an amazing organisation that offers a range of support for local women, including mental health and wellbeing sessions, employment guidance, money & energy advice as well as a Justice & Safety team who work with women in the justice system or women who may face homelessness or domestic abuse.
Monthly Kundalini Experience with Satya

A Nervous-System– Led Journey Back to Inner Safety
This monthly Kundalini Yoga Experience is a gentle yet powerful space to reconnect with your body, breath, and inner awareness.
Designed especially for those who feel constantly on, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves, this class focuses on nervous system regulation rather than performance or intensity. Through conscious breathing, simple movements, meditation and deep relaxation, you’ll be guided to soften out of survival mode and return to a felt sense of safety within.
This is not about pushing, forcing or doing more. It is an invitation to listen, slow down, and allow your body to recalibrate naturally.
Each session offers a different experiential theme, supporting emotional release, embodied awareness, and a deeper connection to your inner rhythm. No prior Kundalini Yoga experience is needed- just a willingness to meet yourself with honesty and compassion.
This class also serves as an entry point for those curious to explore deeper workshops and longer-form journeys into self-awareness, nervous system healing, and conscious living.

Soma Roll: Myo Fascial Release with Claire from Yoga by the Lune

An immersion into the magic of fascia and deeper layers of the self.
Through the practices of myofascial release and yoga, offering tools to dissolve stagnation and tension, increase movement, restore balance, and renew the flow of energy. We often move in familiar patterns, and our body holds and stores experiences and stories. We carry so much as individuals and collectively. MFR disrupts these patterns and carrying, allowing a new story to be told.
SomaRoll gives you the chance to really feel what is going on within your body and let any layers of holding that build up from life melt away, allowing the body to take a big sigh and feel freer, that buttery soft feeling!
The perfect reset for spring, re-balancing the subtle energy body to return to a state of flowing presence.

From the Heart- Monthly Mantra Sessions with Abi Tunbridge

A warm and intimate evening of sacred song, sound and stillness.
Mantras are sacred sounds, words and phrases that are sung in repetition. They help calm the mind, open the heart, and nurture our connection to ourselves and others as we invoke the energy of the mantra. The vibration of mantra naturally slows our breath, soothes our nervous system, and draws our attention inward.
Repeated in a steady rhythm, the mantra becomes an anchor to return to. It draws us into presence, where we can notice the subtle sensations that live within - the hum in your chest, the warmth in your throat, a vibration beneath the skin. It’s less about how it sounds and more about how the mantra moves through the body.
Over the session we’ll explore mantra, moving gently between sound and stillness, and sharing presence, warmth, and tea. As we chant together, our voices create a shared rhythm, guiding us into the cave of our hearts.
Join as you are – no singing experience needed.
The Rest Retreat: Steadying the Roots with Helen Olivia
Saturday 7th March / 2.00pm-4.00pm/ £30
As the body anticipates the shift in season as Equinox arrives - Nature’s New Year - it can leave the body in a space between desiring to get going, and yet not fully longing to leave the cocooning.
At this time, we use the support of the Earth Element principles according to 5 Element Theory and the ancient wisdom of Daoism. This element supports a deep nurturing and grounding in the body, so we move steadfastly into the shift in season from a tempered place of groundedness. Feel anchored and abundant in your body and heart-mind, ready to step into Spring when she arrives.
This masterclass will have a special offering of a dose of Ceremonial Cacao, as we will also tend to our hearts in this pivotal moment of our collective Great Awakening. This will be a moment to come into connection, unity consciousness, Gaia consciousness and remember the truth of our oneness in a world that conditions division and separation.
Helen will also infuse the practice with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. Discover your meridian system and connect to acupressure points which support groundedness to combat anxiety, worry and digestive issues bringing you more into the present moment, and less in your head.
Helen will be using essential oils for that extra healing sense, and you will be able to purchase some on the day if you wish to continue to support yourself when you leave.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
As well as a dose of Cacao, the practice includes calming breathwork and meditation, acupressure, meridian yin, and deep relaxation with wisdom guidance according to Eastern philosophy and medicine.
