The Rest Retreat: ‘Nourishing the waters within’ Yin for Kidneys and deep rest with Helen Olivia
Saturday 17th January/ 2pm-4pm/ £25
Winter is the time to slow down, surrender, rest more and enjoy restful sleep. Yet many people struggle with deep rest and sleep. Much to the dismay of the demands of our modern world, nature guides us that January is not the month to be going full throttle.
Helen will guide you on a 2 hour deeply restful Yin journey, tailored specifically to support your body in the season of Winter.
Helen will guide you into the organ system most susceptible and requiring most support - the ‘batteries’ of your body - your Kidneys.
Through the lens of the ancient wisdom and healing methodology of Daoism, here resides your ‘jing’ essence, your vitality and sense of Will. Restore their energy and feel the resilience your body needs to support you through the Winter season.
This offering will be infused with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. Discover your meridian system and connect to acupressure points which support restful sleep, offering inspiration for your sleep routine.
Helen will be using essential oils for that extra healing sense, which you will be able to purchase on the day should you wish to continue your restful journey at home.
The practice includes calming breathwork, acupressure points specifically to support sleep, yin yoga and deep relaxation alongside wisdom guidance of Eastern philosophy and medicine.
Vibe: Restful, peaceful, soothing, calming, inspiring, restoring.
From the Heart- Monthly Mantra Sessions with Abi Tunbridge
Sunday 25th January/ 7pm-8.30pm/ £20
A warm and intimate evening of sacred song, sound and stillness.
Mantras are sacred sounds, words and phrases that are sung in repetition. They help calm the mind, open the heart, and nurture our connection to ourselves and others as we invoke the energy of the mantra. The vibration of mantra naturally slows our breath, soothes our nervous system, and draws our attention inward.
Repeated in a steady rhythm, the mantra becomes an anchor to return to. It draws us into presence, where we can notice the subtle sensations that live within - the hum in your chest, the warmth in your throat, a vibration beneath the skin. It’s less about how it sounds and more about how the mantra moves through the body.
Over the session we’ll explore mantra, moving gently between sound and stillness, and sharing presence, warmth, and tea. As we chant together, our voices create a shared rhythm, guiding us into the cave of our hearts.
Join as you are – no singing experience needed.
